Want to learn how to work with small business specialists?
August 23, 2011 by llyons
You may know that all federal agencies — any many units of state and local government — employ people they call “small business specialists” to act as advocates for small businesses trying to win contracts with their respective government agency. Typically, these folks don’t have time to do much hand-holding, and they must be selective about who they chose to advocate on behalf of. But, if you can impress them with your experience and expertise, most small business specialists can open the doors of government procurement to you.
The question is, what’s the right way to approach them?
For answers to this question you should attend a special class being conducted on August 30, from noon until 1:00 pm, in the Albany Microbusiness Enterprise Center located at 230 S. Jackson St., Albany, GA 31701-2885.
Please pre-register so we can adequately plan. Simply go to http://gtpac.ecenterdirect.com/ConferenceDetail.action?ID=6833 to register.
We hope to see you on the 30th!
